Megan Jewell

Owner & Occupational Therapist

Hello + welcome!

Hi, I’m Megan Jewell, a pediatric occupational therapist and mother of one! I received my bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Sonoma State University in 2010 and continued on with obtaining my Master degree is Occupational Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in 2012.

I am passionate about helping families to gain more confidence with parenting neurodiverse children, and equipping families with tools that foster connection and joy within the whole family unit. I have worked with a diverse population of clients, and have dedicated my career towards learning treatments rooted in sensory integration. After running a successful clinic with a team of therapists for several years, I decided to scale down my practice, and put the focus back on the occupations that children engage in, within the environments in which they live! I am proud to be living out my profession’s vision to “maximize health, well-being, and quality of life for all people, populations, and communities through effective solutions that facilitate participation in everyday living.”

Apart from working directly with families, I am dedicated towards educating local preschool teachers on the benefits of early intervention and proactive developmental supports. It is of great importance to me that educators in our community feel equipped to look at children through a nervous system lens, and my goal is to ultimately help teachers to meet behaviors with compassion and curiosity.

I hold certifications and trainings in the following therapy methods: TummyTime! Method, iLs Focus and Safe and Sound, SOS Approach to Feeding, Social Thinking, Puzzle Art Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, Interoception, Primitive Reflexes, Therapeutic Listening, Astronaut Training, and am currently working on the Collaborative for Leadership in Ayres Sensory Integration (CLASI) certificate program in Ayres Sensory Integration (CASI).

I find great benefit and pride in attending Camp Avanti in Wisconsin each summer, where OT’s from across the globe gather to provide an intensive therapeutic camp experience for children.

My favorite hobbies include traveling, listening to live music, baking, and spending quality time with my husband and daughter.

Thank you for being here, I look forward to being a part of your child’s journey to success!

With Great Appreciation

I wouldn’t be half the therapist I am today without the love, support, and passion that Kids on the POINT OT’s founder, who happens to be my mother, Bobbi Hanna, instilled in me and in this company. She has touched the lives of countless families, therapists, and community members through her never-ending efforts to ensure quality was attained in its highest form through the power of sensory integration. I am proud of her 2023 retirement, and grateful to continue strengthening the impact Kids on the POINT OT has in the community in which we both love so dearly. I am immensely grateful for her mentorship and vision of what OT can do to truly change the lives of the children and families we support!

Megan in the Headlines

I’m training families to become detectives in their own homes and to develop tools that work in their lives. One of the best things I’ve done is help families quiet the noise and trust their inner compass.
